February events–on the 14th and 15th

AUSTEN TALK Friday, February 14 at Medaille College, 12:35 p.m.
Alice Villaseñor, Ph.D., was named the first recipient of the Medaille College Excellence in Interdisciplinary Scholarship Award. As part of the award, she will give a presentation about her research to the College community. The talk, Jane Austen: An Interdisciplinary Approach will take place on the Medaille Buffalo Campus from 12:35-1:35 p.m. on Friday, Feb 14. This event is free and open to the public.

JASNA MEETING Saturday, February 15 at 1:00 pm
“The Scars of Childhood: Is Mansfield Park a psychological novel?” will be the topic of discussion to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Mansfield Park in 2014. Our JASNA regional co-coordinator Celia Easton will lead our conversation about Jane Austen’s most controversial novel.
