Fall schedule for JASNA Rochester

Michaelmas Term 2013

Meetings take place at 1:00 pm in the second floor community room of the Barnes & Noble in Pittsford, unless otherwise specified.

Saturday, September 21

“Lizzie Bennet Diaries” – We will discuss and view some of the episodes from the Emmy-winning, internet sensation, “Lizzie Bennet Diaries.”

Saturday, October 19

Members share their experiences at the Annual General Meeting of JASNA in Minneapolis. This annual conference is four days of All Jane, All the Time.

Saturday, November 16

“Did Jane Austen Invent Baseball?: Early bat and ball games in England and the U.S.” Lisa Brown will explore the origins of baseball, cricket and what Jane’s got to do with it.

Saturday, December 14

Jane Austen Birthday Luncheon – Professor Nicola Minott-Ahl of Hobart & William Smith Colleges will speak about Lydia at the Chatterbox Club in Rochester. The program begins at 11:00 am. Advanced registration required.

Local dues of $5.00 and national dues of $30.00 are due in September.

Dance Like Jane Austen! Beginners Welcome. No partner Necessary.

English Country Dancing on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays of every month at 6:30 pm at the First Baptist Church in Brighton.
