The Jane Austen Society of North America Rochester Chapter welcomes all who share an interest in reading and discussing Jane Austen, her novels (and other writing), and her historical context. New York has three regional societies: New York Metro, Rochester, and Syracuse (including points east, north, and the Southern Tier).
JASNA-Rochester meets from September through May, usually on the third Saturday of the month at the Pittsford, NY Barnes & Noble Community Room, except when otherwise noted. We take a hiatus for the summer, but return on the third Saturday in September.

Have y’all heard about the new, historically correct sequel to P&P? Written by Sandy Lerner (under the nom de plume of Ava Farmer)…it’s really solid and highly entertaining…put out by Chawton House Press (their first release). Here’s a link to their FB page….

And “Ava Farmer” is kind of “a Virginia (VA) farmer,” isn’t she? Sandy Lerner is a great friend of Jane Austen–this might be a book to discuss next year.
